Toshiba's laptops are durable. I have 3 toshiba's in my house, mine have 3 years and still working great. You should go to toshibadirect.com there are good prices :)

38: go with sony, samsung, asus, dell, or lenovo. the rest are sub par or garbage, i'd rate hp the lowest because of the shitty after sales service and the lack of knowledge of the support and the bad parts, and toshiba 9th as they have little service, use cheap parts, have unfair prices, and make too many models of the same line.

sony is rated top because it uses samsung parts yet offers a bit more than samsung for less, samsung is rated 2nd because they know what they're doing and they make extremely reliable products.

Sony viao hard disk complaint. I had to replace mine, spending 6k. All data lost. Its a common problem among sony laptops. I guess Dell is better.

I had Sony and dell I got a problem in Sony the battery is finishing fast it does not have battery back up . In dell the battery back is 2hrs its 4 years old it has same spped and same battery back up
