With Bated Breath, Gadget Freaks Can Now Await the Launch of Google's Nexus 7 Tablet

BENGALURU: Although the latest Android version 7.0 (Nougat) houses tablet supporting features, but tablets have not been popular in the market when compared to smartphones.  But, this scenario will not continue anymore as Google plans to launch its next variant of the Nexus tablet series with Huawei, the Nexus 7. The news might sound tempting, but tech lovers across the globe can be better advised to keep their feet on the ground as it is just another ‘leak’ disclosed by Evan Blass, the popular phone leaker.

Apart from the key details such as the manufacturer, possible time of release, 7-inch display size and 4GB RAM, Evan does not reveal any other information in his twitter post. He also mentioned that the new tablet is “on track”, which simply means that the tablet can be expected to be revealed officially along with other Nexus variants next month. Users can keep their fingers crossed as Google may introduce some premium devices embedded with top-notch features.

Introducing Nexus into the market may also pave way for higher priced phones, staging a complex situation for Google to sell its upcoming tablet in market, as tablet sales are dropping every year. Earlier in the month of August, the IDC cited a drastic fall in the sale of tablets by 38.7 million total shipments compared to 44.1 million in the second quarter of 2015, i.e. about 12.3 percent drop in sales. With a drop in the tablet shipments by 24.5 percent and 9.2 percent respectively, Samsung and Apple have suffered losses in massive scales. So, it is believed that Google would be rolling out its tablet primarily focused on showcasing the features of Android Nougat on tablets.
