Windows 10 Smartphones to Hit The Market In November


BENGALURU: The global tech giant Microsoft has announced the launch of its two new smartphones in the month of November, as the month is said to be the festive season in India, the smartphones are expected to be well received, as reported by the NDTV Gadgets360.

Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are the two new models and as claimed by the company the phones are the first of their kinds. As there are run on the Windows 10 OS,  and the company confirmed the release in the next month.

Lumia 950 is priced $549 and the 950 XL is priced $649. However, both the phones are single SIM variants and the company hinted the dual SIM version the respective smartphones and quoted ‘coming soon’ relation to the dual SIM variants.

Lumia 950 is packed with QHD (1440x2560 pixels) ClearBlack AMOLED display (5.2 inch) with 564ppi pixel density in added with the corning gorilla glass. The phone is powered by the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor that is topped at the 1.8GHz.

Storage wise the phone features 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM inbuilt, the external storage can be extended up to 200GB via MicroSD card. The battery is expected to last more than a day, as the phone is fed by the 3000mAh removable battery.  20-megapixel is mounted on the rear and autofocus, OIS (optical image stabilisation), an f/1.9 aperture, and a triple-LED RGB flash module and 5-megapixel is on the front. 

The 950 XL is bit upgraded in terms of screen size, pixel density, battery and the processor power, as it features 5.7-inch QHD display with 518ppi density, 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3340mAh battery.

The company also implied the release of the Lumia 550 in the month of December and the phone is expected to hit the market under the budget sector.
