Will India See The Coveted Nexus 4 Soon?

Will India See The Coveted Nexus 4 Soon?

Bangalore: The launch of much awaited Nexus 4 seems to be delayed in India. However no official statement has been issued either by the owner Google, or by LG, who manufactures the prestigious device for the search giant.

Previously, an LG Executive, during the Optimus Vu launch in India, said that Nexus 4 would be launched in the country in November 2012. However, its arrival has only been raising hopes since then, leaving the consumer space open to speculation.

According to an IBN Live report, the Indian launch of Nexus 4 was planned to happen in January 2013. But currently the sources say, the delay in launch is due to the debate between Google and LG is over the price tag. The decision has not come to terms as it should be according to either the same price model introduced by Google in U.S. or LG’s new price for the Indian markets.

LG, which is lagging behind in the Smartphone race in India is trying harder to launch the coveted Nexus 4 at a higher price, as the success is guaranteed. But the delay may even lead to no launch of the device in India.

Last year, Samsung had ditched Indian consumers by fading its plans to bring the Galaxy Nexus to India. Will LG take the next step is what bothers the Nexus fans.
