Vivo X6S and X6S Plus Announced: Features 4GB of RAM, Snapdragon 652 and Fingerprint Sensor


BENGALURU: It’s a season of flagships, after Xiaomi announced its Mi5 and while Meizu is gearing up for the Pro 6, Vivo has announced its flagship offerings for this year. Vivo recently introduced its latest flagship smartphones, the vivo X6S and the X6S Plus. Both the devices have very similar features including an Octa Core 1.8GHz Snapdragon 652 SoC, Adreno 510 GPU, Android 5.1 Lollipop based Funtouch OS, 4GB RAM and dual charging chips for fast charging. The X6S and the X6S Plus sports most of the innards while on the other hand ,like the other flagships they differ in display size.

Vivo X6S has got a 13-Megapixel primary camera along with LED Flash and 8-megapixel secondary camera. The connectivity features include the usual 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2 and the device is powered by a 2400mAh battery that supports fast charging.

The Vivo X6S Plus is equipped with a larger 5.6-inch FHD Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 652-processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. X6S is equipped with 16-Megapixel for the primary sensor whereas the front-facing 8-Megapixel sensor is calibrated with the X6S. Connectivity features and the storage options remain the same and the only other thing that varies—larger 3000mAh battery which also supports fast charging.

Both these devices come with a fingerprint sensor that claims to unlock the device in just under 0.4 seconds. The X6S comes with a AKM4375 audio chip while the X6Plus is equipped with ES9028 DAC chip and Yamaha YSS-205X digital surround signal processing chip.

The Vivo X6S and the Vivo X6S Plus both will retail in Champagne Gold and Rose Gold Colours priced at 2598 Yuan (Approx. $402)  and 2998 Yuan (Approx. $ 464.46), respectively. Both the devices are already available on Vivo online store.
