Try out These Tips to Boost Your Smartphone's Battery Life


BENGALURU: Even after the rapid evolution of smartphones into fully automated sleek and stylish devices, a better battery technology hasn't arrived yet. Though its 2016, the digital era- smartphone batteries are not yet developed enough to last forever. The big, luscious AMOLED and LCD screens and new gen apps are an obvious drain on your battery, but there are lots of tricks behind-the-scenes to make smart phone battery last longer.

The phones display is battery's mortal enemy that absorbs most of the battery charge, so make sure that you keep the display dim. Remember to turn off the automatic brightness settings to save battery used by the light sensors. If the phone houses an AMOLED display, keeping a black theme will decrease battery use as these displays only uses power to light bright colors. Keeping the phone’s screen timeout short will be an added advantage.  

The phones wireless devices are serious battery drainers. So while it’s not required, turn off the Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth options.  Not only the additional connectivity devices, but also the phones radio contact with service provider towers can also drain a lot of battery. Use the phone in Flight mode when in poor signal locations or while travelling.

Turning of vibrations, unnecessary notifications and limiting application access to GPS and other sensors will save battery to a better extend.

Even though some of these techniques are not always possible, keep a watch on the phone’s display, vibrations, and notifications for instant battery life increase.
