Toshiba's new tablet to hit the market soon


Bangalore: Toshiba , the Japanese electronics giant has geared up to make it big in the tablet market, with its new Android powered Tablet. It has announced its Android 3.0 honeycomb based Tablet which is named "Thrive." Toshiba had unveiled the Tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. This tablet features 1280 x 800 native resolution, 1GHz Dual core Tegra 2 processor, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 and 10.1 inch capacitive touch screen. The memory of the tablet is powered with 8GB and 32GB and has a full SD card slot for external storage. The camera has a 2MP HD webcam with microphone and 5MP webcam with Auto-focus and Digital zoom with 720p Video capture at the back. The date of the launch has not been finalized yet but the tablet will be available for pre-order at jr.com. The 8 GB will be priced at 20,250($450) and 32 GB will be retailed at 26,200 ($579). While Toshiba's new Tablet is not iPad it claims to be bettered featured and user friendly. With this new introduction, Toshiba looks to be in right direction.
