Toshiba's New Laptop and Tablets: Thinner and Lighter

Bangalore: Toshiba promised to launch world’s thinnest and lightest 10.1 inch tablet and a 13 inch laptop using OLED panel technology at CES 2012. The company is primed to keep up this promise in the coming three days.

Toshiba’s new 13 inch laptop is expected to be like Portege Z830 Ultrabook, the lightest 13.3 inch laptop which was launched by Toshiba in September 2011. Now there are rumors that Toshiba’s upcoming tablet will be named as AT200 which will be much thinner and lighter than its earlier one named ‘Thrive’ which was launched last year having  a bulky design and a hefty weight.

This new AT200 is expected to weight 544 grams with a thickness of just 0.3 which will make this tablet to stand lighter and thinner than any other tablets in the current market. The tablet also features; Android OS (version not mentioned) and has up to 32GB of storage capacity, a 1280x800 pixel display and is powered by 1.2GHz dual core processor. It also includes micro USB, micro HDMI ports and microSD card slot.

Other tech giants like Acer, Asus and Lenovo are also coming with their new tablets to compete in this market and therefore it’s sure that the year 2012 will be flooded with new thinner and light weight tablets and laptop.
