Toshiba Launches 3 New Android 4.0 Tablets

Bangalore: Toshiba launched three new tablets under its Excite series; Excite 7.7, Excite 10 and Excite 13. All the three tablets will be available by June 10 in U.S.

All the tablets have similar hardware specifications, sporting a Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor, Nvidia GeForce graphics, 1 GB of RAM, 5 MP rear camera, 2 MP front facing camera, stereo speakers, scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass displays, aluminum bodies and all of them runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The first model, Excite 7.7 tablet comes with 7.7 inch touchscreen AMOLED display with 1280x800 pixels of resolution, 16/32 GB internal storage, expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card and has a thickness of 0.3 inch. For connectivity it has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, microUSB port and microHDMI port. The Excite 7.7 has a price tag of around 25,000 for 16 GB model and 28,000 for 32 GB model.

The second one, Excite 10 comes with 10.1 inch LED backlit touchscreen display with 1280x800 pixels of resolution, 16/32/64 GB internal storage and can be expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card. All the connectivity ports are similar to the Excite 7.7, but the Excite 10 is 0.35 inch in thickness and provides up to 10 hours of battery life. This tablet is expected to hit the market a bit earlier i.e. by May with a price tag of around 22,500 for 16 GB variant, 26,500 for 32 GB model and the 64 GB model will costs around 32,500. Last month the company released similar tablet called Excite LE.

The Excite 13 is the world’s first tablet to have 13 inch LED backlit touchscreen display with 16:9 ratio aspects and has 1600x900 pixels of resolution. This tablet comes with 0.4 inch thickness and is slightly heavier than other models. All other connectivity options and specifications are similar as the other two tablets but the Excite 13 provides 13 hours of battery life. It has a price tag of around 32,500 for 32 GB model and 37,500 for 64GB model.

All these tablets are will first hit the U.S. market and later will be released globally soon.
