Bangalore: A round up of all thee leaks of the various smartphones from Sony indicates that they would welcome the New Year 2013 with a number of smartphone releases.
The online site Financial Times Deutschland reported that Sony is all set to launch a smartphone soon and according to the Marketing Head of Sony Mobile, Dennis Van Schie this flagship phone would take on the likes of Samsung Galaxy S III and Apple iPhone 5.
Not much is known about the specifications of the smartphone but the fact that it would function on Android operating system is confirmed.
Van Shie also said that the smartphone would be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2013. Along with this Sony is also working on their handset which has been codenamed Xperia Odin which will also make its appearance in the CES 2013. This smartphone will have a gigantic screen of 5 inches and will be powered by a powerful 1.5 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
