Sony's Diwali Gift - Xperia Tablet S


Bangalore: The IFA 2012 held in Berlin in the beginning of September 2012 saw the release of many gadgets. Sony, the electronic giants also released smartphones, smart watches and tablets. But Sony did not mention when the gadget would be available in the Indian market.

But now, a source close to Sony passed on the information to the online gadget site “The Mobile Indian” which said that the new tablet from Sony would be out in the Indian markets during Diwali, which would be mid October 2012.

The new tablet has seen an improvement in the design over the previous generation tablet. The new Xperia Tablet S is thinner than the older one. The tablet comes with a 9.4 inch IPS OptiContarst display which supports 1280 X 800 pixels. The device is powered by a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor with GeForce Graphics chip and it functions on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The tablet comes with an 8 mega pixel rear camera along with a 1 mega pixel front camera that allows the users to make video calls.

Along with the normal features the tablet also comes with PlayStation certification which means that the user can download and enjoy PlayStation Mobile games. The gadget also comes with ClearAudio+ technology which gives crisper and clearer sound output.

The device is available in three memory variants; 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB with a slot for memory expansion as well. The tablet will cost around 25,000 if not more.
