Sony Unveils Water Proof Cyber-Shot Camera


Bangalore: Sony has added three new digital cameras to its cyber-shot series. The company unveiled a water proof high powered cyber-shot camera-DSC-TX200V and other two cyber-shot cameras; DSC-WX50 and DSC-WX70.

The water proof camera, DSC-TX200V is an ultra thin T-series camera equipped with the highest resolution Exmor R CMOS image sensor and improved Bionz image processor for taking brilliant pictures in low light.

The DCS-TX200V is designed with flat glasses on both the sides and has a built in 5X optical zoom with 18 MP non-protruding lenses. The camera sports 3.3 inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) touchscreen display with ‘Xtra Fine’ TruBlack LCD display which produce high contrast and decent resolution. There are no physical buttons thanks to its touchscreen display; all the functionalities are done within the screen (expect power, shutter and a zoom buttons).

The other two cameras DSC-WX50 andDSC-WX70 looks identical but WX50 has normal controls with all the buttons and navigations keys and sports a 2.7 inch normal LCD display. While WX70 has a 3 inch touchscreen display just kike the TX200V, but come with buttons on the top for power, shutter and zoom. Both the camera has 5X optical zoom and a16.2 MP back illuminated sensor with Exmor R CMOS image sensor.

All the three cameras will be available by March, and will be priced around - TX200V for 24750 ($499.99), WX70 for 14850 ($299.99) and the WX50 for 9900 ($199.99).
