Sony Launches Six New Digital Cameras in India


Bangalore: Sony has announced the six new compact digital cameras under the Cyber-Shot series in India. Among six compact digital cameras, four cameras have been introduced in the super high zoom H series which includes H90, HX10V, HX20V and HX200V. The other two cameras come under the compact hi-zoom W series which includes WX150 and W690.

The H90 and HX10V are the lower end super zoom compact camera. The H90 comes with 16.1 MP CCD sensor with 16x optical zoom and available in black, silver colors for 13,990. The HX10V features 16x optical zoom, 18.2 MP  Exmor-R CMOS sensor, Optical SteadyShot, superior i-Auto shooting mode and available for 17,990. Both H90 and HX10V will be available by the end of April.

The mid-ranged super zoom compact camera; HX20V has 18.2 MP CMOS sensor with 20x optical zooms. The HX20V will be available from May 2012 for 22,990, comes in black and brown colors.

The HX200V is the high-end super zoom compact camera. It comes with 30x optical zoom with 18.2 MP Exmor-R CMOS sensor. This camera is the perfect for those who prefer shooting photos from longer distance. It comes in black color and will be available by May 2012 for 27,990.

Under W series the WX150 and W690 are high performing compact cameras which the company claims are the world’s smallest and lights cameras offering optical zooms of 10x optical zoom. The WX150 comes with 18.2 MP Exmor-R sensor and the W690 has 16.1 MP sensor. Both of the cameras will be available by May 2012 at a price tag of 10,990 for W690 and 14,990 for W690.
