Sony Introduced Crystal LED TV

Las Vegas: Sony introduced a 55 inch prototype model of Crystal LED TV which defines the next generation of televisions at Consumer Electronic Show 2012.

This latest Crystal LED technology is a blend of both OLED and LED. This technology brings six million LEDs in the display and offers 3.5 times better contrast, improved brightness and gives 10 times faster video responses when compared to the present LCD televisions.

Sony is working continuously on Crystal LED television to make it hit the market as soon as possible. Along the sidelines, the company is equally concentrating on its continued development and marketing for its OLED televisions. As the Crystal LED TVs are just a prototype now, therefore there are no details about its availability and price.

Sony CEO Howard Stringer said “the new technology is better than LCD and plasma televisions and the Crystal LEDs will provides super contrast and super wide range of colors”, reports CNET.

Along with this announcement Sony has also launched a range of Smartphones including Xperia Ion and also confirmed the availability of PlayStation Vita on February 22 for the U.S. market.
