Smartphones That World's Prominent Leaders Prefer

BANGALORE: It is interesting to know what phones the world leaders use to communicate with party members and close ones. Although there are better Android phones coming up by Samsung and Apple, the list below shows that most of the leaders still prefer BlackBerry over the new phones. For this reason, BlackBerry is trying to make the security systems for its phones better after Edward Snowdon, and ex CIA employee stated that at least 35 world leaders conversations were eavesdropped on. Let’s take a look at the phones that these leaders prefer.

1. Barack Obama (BlackBerry): Obama’s choice of phone for years has been the BlackBerry although the secret service objected it for security reasons once he became President. Being the President of America, Obama needs protection so that hackers don’t pry into important conversations. Although BlackBerry has made enhancement to the security systems in their phones, rivals like Apple and Samsung are coming up with better security services and these might soon become the choice for the President. Obama has been using the BlackBerry for the past 10 years; the phone was taken away from him in 2008 when he became the president and returned back with a special security software called SecureVoice.

2. Hillary Clinton (BlackBerry): The famous picture of Hillary Clinton in 2012 that shows her on her way to Libya in a military transport plane wearing her sunglasses and looking at her BlackBerry went viral on Tumblr, making her the most famous user of the phone. The blog called “Texts from Hillary” on Tumblr, started by Stacy Lambe and Adam Smith became very popular the same year and got an unexpected text from Hillary. She also invited the creators of the blog to come and meet her.
