Smartphones Makes You More Connected With Family

Bangalore:  Women in U.S. found that wireless devices make families feel closer when they are away from each other. This unique fact was revealed according to a survey done by CTIA, a wireless association.

Some believes that technology divides families but the survey proves the exact opposite, it  states that 85 percent women said “wireless devices makes family feel closer and 80 percent women use mobile device to keep the family to inform about their activities”.

"It's undeniable that wireless devices have changed the way we live and work. As our survey has proven, mobile technology is also changing the way families interact and improving the quality of time they are spending with each other. As the father of a nine-year-old daughter, I know that is invaluable," said Robert Mesirow, VP and show Director of CTIA.

The survey further revealed why family centered people are choosing new device like smartphones to replace traditional communication tools. More than 38 percent of women said easy access to the internet is the main reason for shifting to smartphone and 48 percent of women said that smartphone has replaced landline as their primary mean for communication. As smartphones are giving more connectivity, mobility and an easy access to internet these devices are making people to be in constant touch with their loved ones.

If the survey was done in the Indian scenario we believe the results will be the similar or may be more emphasized as the Indian women are becoming more independent and are working away from their families.
