Samsung's New Smartwatch Can Make Calls!


BANGALORE: Samsung has been known for its innovation, style, and new products in the market with its handsets, flooding the mobile market. After conquering with its new range of smartphones, tablets, phablets, the latest introduction of smartwatches in the market made waves.

Since the launch of the smartwatches, the South Korean firm experienced less than expected sales and earnings, thus kept its innovation doors open, and recently launched the latest version of its smartwatch in the market.

Samsung Electronics revealed the first ever smartwatch, which was capable of making and receiving calls, just like any other smartphones in the market. The latest launch has been done in order to revive the market of smartwatch and give out something unique than any other mobile firms, under the category of smartwatches.

Samsung, not being the sole manufacturer in the market, faces fierce competition from its rivals, Apple and LG. Apple will be launching its smartwatch this year. LG Electronics is also in line to launch its smartwatch G Watch R, featuring a circular plastic OLED screen, a stainless steel frame, along with a leather strap, reports NDTV.

Samsung’s latest smartwatch is called Gear S. It has a bigger 2 inch; 5cm curved display and is packed with Wi-Fi connectivity, pedestrian navigation, and has in-built GPS. The device will run on Samsung’s nascent Tizen OS. The smartwatch will be available for sale from October. The details on pricing and   availability are not yet confirmed.
