Samsung's New Smart HDTV: Mobile Controlled, Remotes Ditched


Bangalore:  Samsung will be showcasing its new Smart TV market at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) Las Vegas, 2012. Samsung plans to make Smartphone controlled Smart TV like Goolge TV and omit the remote system from the TV culture.

The teaser video for the show demonstrates its 50 years of advancement in the television industry and concludes its future by making Smartphone’s and Smart TV’s compactable with each other. Google TV never acquired the desire expectation and people considered it to be a jumble of good ideas assembled in an unsorted, complex box.  As Samsung has raised its bar as an expert in the Smart TV and Android segment the expectations from this upcoming new Smart HDTV is also high. There is an uncertainty regarding the present line of Smart TV’s from Samsung which runs on its well know Bada OS, the speculation is that Samsung will be providing both the OS in the hardware to tackle its Bade OS and Android Smartphone users. 

Apple’s yet to come Smart HDTV will be a stiff competitor for the Android TV. Along with this new vertical there is an unexplored industry ‘the Smart TV Apps’ and Samsung claims 2 million downloads for Smart TV.  Presently the potential of Smart TV market is uncertain; with the entry of Android and Apple into this industry in the coming year we will be able gather a high definition image.
