Samsung unveils new Corby series phone Corby II GT-S3850


Bangalore: Samsung has unveiled the latest Corby series phone, Corby II GT-S3850, at the Samsung SEA Forum in Singapore. Coming in a distinct design, its features include Social Hub, support for Microsoft Exchange, TouchWiz UI, T9 QuickType keyboard integrated and email client. The price of the new handset has not been announced. With a 3.14-inch touchscreen display, Corby II GT-S3850 has quad-band GSM/EDGE support. It is a 2G network only phone and doesn't support 3G network. The highlighting features of the new handset are 2MP camera, microSD card slot (up to 16GB), Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, FM Radio, 3.5mm headphone jack along with a 1000mAh battery that the company claims will allow up to 9.5 hours in talk time. Samsung said the new phone will be available in Germany in late March and then other countries in Europe, Latin America, India, China, Middle East and Africa. The company also showcased its new QWERTY candybar Galaxy Pro at the Samsung SEA Forum. The device runs Google Android 2.2 Froyo on it and is powered by an 800MHz CPU.
