Samsung unveils Omnia HD and Pro handset in India
Bangalore: Samsung has launched Omnia HD and OmniaPRO B7320 in India. Omnia HD is world's first full-touch handset and has 720P HD video recording with the largest 9.4 cm AMOLED screen on mobile. Powered with 1Ghz processor the phone has a 16:9 screen with 16M colors and a dual stereo speaker. Omnia HD has an eight megapixel camera and has high speed internet access of HSUPA 5.76Mbps and HSDPA 7.2Mbps. Omnia HD also include features such as Bluetooth capabilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, support for DLA, a built-in GPS receiver with support for maps from NAVTEQ. This device has a 16GB internal memory and can be extended upto 48GB. Samsung now has a series of nine full touch screen phones, including Omnia HD. Out of these, company has launched seven touch phones this year and expects touch phones to contribute around 10 percent of the revenue. Samsung has also announced the launch of OmniaPRO B7320. It is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 and has a compact design and ergonomic QWERTY keypad. It has three megapixel camera and is compatible with Wi-Fi, 3G, EDGE and GPRS. It has a 70MB memory which is expandable to 16GB. Samsung OmniaPro is available at 16,500 while OmniaHD is available at 33990 in India.
