Samsung Unveils Two New Wi-Fi Home Theater Systems


Bangalore: Samsung has launched a new range of home theater system, HT-E6730W and HT-E5500W with built in 3D Blu-ray player, vacuum tube amplifiers, Wi-Fi and is also integrated with Samsung Apps. Including these two devices Samsung will be displaying a new line of home theater systems in the CES 2012.

The Samsung HT-E6730W has received a CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award. The HT-E6730W is the first home theater system from Samsung to have vacuum tube amplifier technology which combines vacuum tube and digital amplifier to create a great entertainment experience. HT-E6730W is a 7.1 channel home theater system having two tall 1330W front speakers and an integrated Wi-Fi.

While the other model, HT-E550W is not as powerful as HT-E6730W as it lacks the vacuum tube amplifier. The HT-E550W features 5.1 channel audio, 3D Blu-ray player. This device has a unique sound bar which can be used in two different ways, it can be fixed with television to work as a regular horizontal sound bar or it can be split into two vertical speakers. The HT-E550W also features HDMI ports and an iPod dock, which Samsung describes as disk-to-digital feature enabling users to convert or rip the DVD to digital content.

Both home theaters has built in Wi-Fi giving accessibility to social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and many more. The integrated Samsung apps give access to hundreds of premium apps like ESPN, MTV, CNBC etc. Samsung will reveal more details about the device regarding its price and availability at CES 2012.
