Samsung Unveils Galaxy Grand Smartphone

Bangalore: Samsung unveiled Galaxy Grand Phone with two models GT-19082 and GT-19080 on last week. This phone is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note-2 with a mid-range price. Samsung did not reveal the price of the particular two models still now.

This product has features like 5 inch WVGA display with 800-by-480 pixel resolution with 1.2 GHz dual core processor. The phone comes with Android’s 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and features 8 Mega pixel rear camera. The 8MP camera supports 1080p High Definition Video Recording while the 2MP front camera has 720p video quality. The Galaxy Grand will provide Samsung software like Direct Call, S Voice, Smart Alert, Popup Video and AllShare Play.End Users will also be able to access the Samsung Hub.

Primarily the phone will come with 8GB of memory storage to the user later it can be extended up to 32 GB with MicroSD card. The phone comes with 2100 mAh battery which provides a battery backup up to 9-10 hours. The connectivity includes 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi on the 2.4 GHz band with Bluetooth 4.0. Location data is provided by assisted GPS and support for the glonass satellite system. Another important feature of the GT-19082 model is the support of dual sim facility.

Samsung officials did not reveal about the pricing, availability and carrier of the two handsets yet. More updates would be delivered at the consumer electronics show CES) 2013 in Las vegas next month as per the officials.
