Samsung Launches The Biggest Smartphones In India


Bangalore: Samsung has launched its biggest screen Smartphones Galaxy Mega 5.8 and Galaxy Mega 6.3 in India, which is set to break the boundaries of screen size to next level. With this, Samsung is trying to fill the gap that exists between Smartphone and a Tablet.

The first one Galaxy Mega 5.8 comes with a 5.8 inch display and has a mediocre specifications compared to the present standards. A dual-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz powers its operations with 1.5GB RAM.

The screen resolution however may disappoint many as 540x960pixel is below the average of present day 5 inch Smartphones. The device has a primary camera of 8MP along with a front facing one of 1.9MP. A 2600 mAh battery powers this giant device. Samsung provides only 8 GB of internal storage memory which can be expanded via micro SD card.

The device with latest Android Jelly Bean is retailing for 25100.

The second device, Mega 6.3 is probably the biggest Smartphone in India as of now. At 199 grams, it is also one of the heaviest Smartphones in the market. A dual-core processor running at 1.7GHz powers the device which has 720p resolution and 16GB internal storage. It also has 1.5GB RAM, 8MP primary camera and 1.9MP front camera like the Mega 5.8. The battery capacity of the device is 3200mAh, which adds to the weight.

Galaxy Mega 6.3 also comes with latest Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and is retailing for 31,490.
