Samsung Galaxy S6: Specifications Redefined


BANGALORE: The much awaited Samsung Galaxy S6 is all set to hit the markets this year. Going by this, reports have stated that the Galaxy S6 will sport a 4GB of RAM along with a glass back panel and will possibly feature a dual-edge display. Earlier reports also talked about the South Korean company’s working on a variant that features a "two-edge displays", reports NDTV.

However in regard to the special variant for the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the report writes , "We aren't yet sure what the Korean firm will officially call this special variant."It further states that the Galaxy S6 Edge will feature an identical panel-based system that was intended for the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

In terms of specs, it’s said that the S6 will follow  the panels from the Note Edge including Yahoo Finance, news and sport panels, briefing panel, pedometer panel (powered by S Health), favourite apps and contacts panels, and more will be downloadable from Samsung's app store. Furthermore, it will also sport features like Night Clock and Express Me.

Another report (via GforGames) claims that the Galaxy S6 will comprise of metal frames that are quite similar to the flagship phablet, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and yet it is expected to feature a glass on both the front and the rear panels.  DDaily affirms to a "Samsung Electronics official" that also imply that the Galaxy S6 is expected to come with a non-removable battery.

Lastly, a report (via GSMArena) that includes statements from Korean analysts suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will pack 4GB of RAM. Notably, this is the first time we have heard about the RAM value on the Galaxy S6. In addition, it’s also expected that Samsung might follow LG's lead and launch two variants based on RAM and storage variants.
