Samsung Galaxy Note II Hits Indian Stores for 39,990

Bangalore: Samsung’s Galaxy Note II has finally arrived in the Indian markets. The device was unveiled at the IFA 2012, Berlin. Like its predecessor it is a hybrid which we would like to call a “phablet”. This is the first device from Samsung that functions on the new Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

The phablet is powered by a fast 1.6 GHz quad core Cortex A-9 processor which is backed by 2 GB of RAM. It has a gigantic 5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels which is a point of disappointment because the resolution is lower than the original Galaxy Note. The phablet has an 8 mega pixel rear camera and a 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera. Like its predecessor Note II also comes with an S Pen which helps you take notes on the tablet.

The device is powered by a 3100 mAh battery. The battery is slightly heavier than the original Note, thus making the Note II heavier by 2 grams. The increase in weight is compensated in its sleekness as the new Note is 9 mm thinner than its predecessor.

The device got launched in India on September 27, 2012 in Hyderabad and it will be available in all Samsung exclusive stores from October 1, 2012 onwards. In fact Samsung had already started taking pre orders on their official websites from last week itself.

The Note II comes in three memory variants; 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB along with a microSD slot to increase the memory up to 64 GB. The device has been priced at 39,990 and it will be available in two colour combinations; titanium grey and marble white.
