Samsung Galaxy Note 2 May Have Flexible Display

Bangalore: In 2011 Samsung showed off the future of smartphones. They showed us a video with a smartphone that was flexible. A technology which would help us fold-up the device and put in anywhere. Seems futuristic! But it isn't!

Well not exactly, though we may not have completely foldable screen but they are half way there. Samsung has supposedly adapted this technology half way. According to the report by Mashable, the next Samsung Galaxy Note may have a flexible screen. What this flexible screen actually means is that Samsung will use a material in the screen that would end up making the screen glass more resistant and when you drop your phone on a hard surface the phone has a chance of bouncing back which wouldn’t be possible for the normal phones.

According to the reports, Galaxy Note 2 will have a 5.5-inch flexible screen and the screen will use Unbreakable Plane (UBP) and plastic substrate that would reduce the thickness of the phone by 0.4 mm. The leaked information says that the Note 2 will have a high screen resolution and will be powered by a faster 1.6 GHz quad-core processor.

That is all that we know about the Note right now, but we are hoping and expecting to hear more details regarding the same at the Samsung event on August 29, 2012.

So we have to wait and watch if these speculations are true. The beginning of revolution in the gadget world isn’t too far now!
