Samsung Announces Galaxy Player 5.8


Bangalore: Another three more days and the IFA will kick start in Berlin, Germany on August 31st 2012 and will carry on till September 5, 2012. In the build up to the trade fair Samsung has already started announcing new devices that would be released at the IFA 2012.

Among the devices from Samsung the first one to be announced officially is the Galaxy Player. The Galaxy Player finds itself among the biggest devices club. The new player has been named the Galaxy Player 5.8.

The Player 5.8 as the name suggests comes with a 5.8 inch qHD screen accompanied by 960 X 540 pixels screen resolution. The device is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. The Player comes in two memory variants; 16 GB and 32 GB. Along with the internal memory the device also has a slot for a microSD card with memory expandable up to 32 GB. It also has a VGA front facing camera. It functions on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

Apart from this Samsung has been tight about the processor of the device as well the price. For that we have to wait till the IFA starts, where the company would be releasing other devices as well.  The Korean manufactures haven’t given any information regarding the availability of the device. According to speculations the Indian markets may not be as lucky as the rest as the release of the device in India may not be along with the rest of the world.
