Only Seven 'Sony TVs' in 2012


Bangalore:  Sony came up with only seven TVs in the recently happened CES 2012, which is much lesser than its competitors and also fewer than company’s announcement last year. CNET says that there are chances that Sony will reveal more models by the end of this year, but for the time being only seven are there to look forward.

Last year Sony ruled the high-end TV market with its XBR-HX929 and NX720. But this year LG and Samsung is all prepared to grad the rule with the launch of stylish and sleek OLED TVs with huge screens and Sony is revolving around 55 inch screen,  ‘crystal LED’ and Gorilla Glass in its LCDs after ditching OLED technology back in 2009.

According to CNET, these seven new TVs come under three series and are not revealed yet in Sony’s website as their shipments are not started till now. Have a look at what to expect from Sony this year in the TV realm.

Sony KDL-HX850 series:

There are two models in this series, namely; KDL-46HX850 46 inch and KDL-55HX850 55 inch LED TVs with Pro w/ 3D Super Resolution and frameless monolithic design. These TVs also features; edge-lit LED TV with local dimming, motionflow XR 960, active 3D compatible, built-in Wi-Fi, Sony Entertainment Network and apps access and Skype-ready. Both the models are supposed to start its shipment in the first quarter of this year and their prices are not disclosed yet.
