OnePlus 3: A Phone Standing Out of the Crowd

BENGALURU: OnePlus, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has come-up with a new smartphone OnePlus 3. The company has gained a significant ground in last couple of years with its OnePlus 1 and 2 smartphones. It offers reasonable price tag and specs that are on par or even better than some of the recent flagships.

The midrange smartphone OnePlus 3 is ready to punch above its class of smartphones. Priced at 27,999, the phone isn’t exactly meant to go head-to-head with its similar price bracket competitors like Xiaomi Mi 5 or LeEco Le Max 2 but eventually it can be a tough competitor for Galaxy S7 Edge or Apple iPhone 6s or LG modular G5 phones.

Ready to compete with the best handsets in the market, OnePlus 3 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor like its rivals Xiaomi Mi 5, LeEco Le Max 2, Samsung Galaxy S7 and LG G5. Let’s take a quick view to see how it stands against other similar phones.

With its impressive unibody design and 7.4 mm thickness, OnePlus 3 maintains 6GB RAM and actually beats LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 in RAM capacity. The phone has 64GB internal memory. While the LG G5’s 5.3-inch Ultra HD display has a ppi of 554 and the 5.5-inch Super AMOLED Galaxy S7 edge has a ppi of 534, the OnePlus 3 has HD resolution of 1,080 x 1,920 with 401 pixels per inch (ppi). However, display is not disappointing on the resolution part and allows better readability in bright sunlight and harsh lighting conditions – reports Tech Times.

Where LeEco Le Max 2 is offering 21 mega pixels rear and 8-megapixels front-facing camera, OnePlus 3 has 16-megapixels rear and 8-megapixels front camera which is giving it a tough competition in terms of camera. Both Xiaomi Mi 5 and OnePlus 3 have the same Sony Exmor RS IMX298 sensor for their primary cameras and carry common rear camera features such as phase detection autofocus and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). OnePlus 3 has a single-LED flash whereas Mi 5 has dual-LED flash. But the phone Packed with 3000 mAh non-removable battery, OnePlus claims that the phone offers slightly first charging with its USB Type-C cable. These above mentioned features are making it stand out of the crowd – reports International Business Times.
