Nokia Tests N1 Tablet in India Hints at Launch

BANGALORE: Foxconn Android Tablet N1 from Nokia is soon to be seen in Indian markets, reports ET.

After its official launch last November, N1 was first released in China and then Taiwan where it has bagged huge success.

As per the export-import data of Indian logistic firm, Zauba, the device has been brought to India for internal testing purposes. Being brought to Bangalore hints a good possibility of the device being launched in the country; however, Foxconn is yet to comment on it.

With 7.9-inch IPS LCD display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution, Nokia N1 Pad is powered by a 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 series CPU. The device surpasses the Apple iPad mini 3 with its 8 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The processor is coupled with 2GB of RAM, and connectivity options include Bluetooth v4.0 and Wi-Fi. In addition to this, the tablet features Aluminum cover with curved corners, 5,300 mAh lithium polymer battery, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The N1 Pad is estimated to be priced close to 16,000.
