Nokia Lumia 520 Rival, Huawei Ascend W1 Headed To India

Bangalore: Nokia was the unprecedented leader of low cost Windows Phone 8 Smartphones till now lead by the ever-popular Lumia 520. But the scene is soon to change as Huawei, the Chinese manufacturer known for its sleek, high performance Smartphones is bringing its first contender in the Windows range, the Ascend W1 to India.     

Huawei’s India website and a couple of online retailers have already listed the Ascend 1. According to Gizbot, the device will be coming at a near price tag of 10,000 like its counterpart Lumia 520. The specifications of both devices are also a tie as Ascend W1 will carry a 1.2 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor coupled with 512 MB RAM. The 4 inch IPS LCD screen will have resolution of 480x800 pixels and the 4 GB of internal memory can be expanded upto 32 GB via MicroSD card.

However, when it comes to photography, Ascend W1 pushes down Lumia 520 with the presence of a flash along with a 5 MP camera in the rear and a VGA front cam assisting the video calls. The device will have 1950 mAh battery and comes in multiple colors including red, blue white and black.
