Nokia, HTC and Samsung Preps New Windows Phone 8 Smartphones


Bangalore: Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 is reportedly witnessing a bright future ahead. Even though the number of hardware vendors for WP8 is little, it may soon change, as tech biggies including Nokia, HTC, Huawei and the Android only- Samsung is preparing range of WP8 devices for the second half of the year.

The first device would be from Microsoft’s proprietary manufacturer Nokia itself. Two upcoming Smartphones codenamed EOS and Catwalk will reportedly take Windows Phone experience to next level. EOS is expected to spot a 41 MP camera sensor along with high end specifications and Catwalk device will reportedly flaunt an aluminum ducked chassis.

Huawei, the Chinese manufacturer will debut its promising device Ascend WQ5, running Windows Phone 8 with 5-inch 1080P HD display, a 13-mega pixel rear camera, and waterproof casing.

Meanwhile HTC, the second best supporter of Windows Phones after Nokia, will bring its mid-range handset Tiara, with 4.3-inch WVGA Super LCD 2 display, 1GHz Dual Core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, an 8-mega pixel rear camera and 1.6-mega pixel front facing camera,1800mAh battery, and lastly WP8 GDR2, an update to WP8, which will bring FM functionality.

Lastly Samsung, the Korean tech giant will expand its WP8 foothold with a device named Cronus LTE, whose details are not yet available.
