Nokia E72 launched in India

Bangalore: A week after its international launch, Nokia has finally bought the much awaited E72 to India. The high-end ESeries device is considered the successor to the to the E71 model. The E72 is visually similar to the E71 and boasts of better features as compared to its predecessor. While the resemblance between the two is striking, there have been a lot of changes under the hood. The processor, for example, is a much faster one and will definitely make the E72 way faster than its older cousin. Then, there is the new version of Symbian (Version 9.3, FP2). The phone also comes pre-installed with 'Nokia Messaging' and a host of Office Productivity Suites. Also, unlike the E71, this one can be a pretty formidable multimedia phone - thanks to the five megapixel camera (with autofocus and Carl Zeiss optics). You can even record videos at VGA resolution. Lastly, a much needed 3.5mm jack too finds its way in. This was a much sought after feature on the E71 - that unfortunately, was not fixable by a mere update. In short, the E72 is almost everything that the E71 fell short of. The phone has been priced at 22,989 and is also available on pre-order.
