Nokia Asha 303 Launched in India


Bangalore: Nokia has launched one more phone in its Asha series- the Asha 303-into the Indian market with a price tag of 8,990. This affordable good-looking smartphone is powered by 1GHz processor and runs on Symbian Series 40 operating system.

Asha 303 sports a 2.6 inch capacitive display, a QWERTY keypad, 170 MB of internal memory with memory card support, 3.2 MP camera with zoom and video capture capability, built-in FM radio, internet radio, Bluetooth, GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi. It is available in two colors- Red and Graphite.

This youth targeted phone is preloaded with apps like Angry Birds Lite, Mobile TV with Zenga TV, Whatsapp, and Nokia Music Unlimited. The phone also has a dedicated music key for an instant access to music and to the music app Shazam.

The company has partnered with service provider Vodafone India to give attractive data offers for the smartphone; customers will be getting 1GB of 3G/2G data per month for 4 months on Asha 303.

The major competitors of Asha 303 in the market will be other entry-level smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Y, HTC Explorer, Huawei Sonic, LG Optimus Pro, Motorola Fire, Idea Blade, Micromax A73 and Spice Mi350n. All these Android smartphones offer a popular operating system and an access to the wide Android market, but one positive fact in Asha 303 is its fast and more efficient processor when compared to all its competitors.
