Nexus Era foreseeing its End!

BENGALURU: One of the most anticipated smartphone from Google, the Pixel is all set to be launched soon, making almost an end to the Nexus era. A recent video popped up in YouTube from Google confirms the launch of Pixel by the 4th of October this year.

The video describes a box transforming into a smartphone and the date October 4th keeps flashing besides the box, with a Google logo at the conclusion. According to the reports, Google probably will unveil two smartphones, a 5-inch display, and 5.5-inch (XL) version under the Pixel flagship. These devices are expected to be powered by the latest Android Nougat platform powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chip. The leaked image hints the use of metal and glass on the rear and standard white face in the front with prominent aluminum edges and white glass panels.

Even though there were random rumors about Google shutting down the Nexus branding, there was no official confirmation till date.  Adding up the anticipation, Google had renamed its recent Tablets and Notebooks ‘Pixel,’ that were developed in collaboration with HTC.  The tech giant is also reported to be in plan to compete with high end devices like iPhone with the new flagship device.
