The question that arises in most of our minds is, is it an ultrabook or a laptop? Well it’s neither. It walks on the thin line that separates a laptop from an ultrabook. It takes features from both of them though. It is 0.71 inch thick which makes it enter the space of an ultrabook but it weighs heavier than a MacBook Air at 2 kgs. The previous generation MacBook was 0.20-inch thicker than the new MacBook Pro. Like an Air, the new Pro has no optical drive, but unlike a wedge-shaped taper the laptop is uniformly thick.
