Motorola Fire launched in India

Bangalore:Motorola is going to launch another touch and Qwerty Android phone named 'Motorola Fire', in India, on September 12th. Motorola Fire is a new touch and type smartphone with amazing benefits: a touch plus QWERTY keypad for easy messaging; Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) for speedy Web access; and, a long-life battery that won't want to stop. The Motorola Fire is based on the latest Android 2.3 version (Gingerbread), which is optimized for better user interface, and support for Indian languages like Hindi. The company has announced the new Android mobile phone will feature a display of 2.8 inches and loaded with many more exciting features like 3G HSDPA, touch & type. Phone has Navigation support with the help of GPS/aGPS and also included the E-compass that is a great feature. Phone is powered with the 1420 mAh battery to provide the talk time of 8 hours. Phone has a 3.0 MP of camera to click awesome moments of your life. To providing power to its processor phone has inbuilt memory of 256 MB RAM with 512 MB ROM and its memory can be expanded with the 32 GB of microSD card slot. Motorola Fire is priced in India at 9000. Those who are eagerly waiting for the Motorola Fire can buy the Motorola's new mobile phone from online phone retailers like Flipkart and Letsbuy at just Rs 8,999 only, which surely will decrease down when this new mobile phone comes down in the market. The Fire is by far the cheapest Android phone with a physical Qwerty (or even non-qwerty) keypad. If you have to go for another Android Qwerty phone, you have to go all the way up to Rs 12,000, where you find the Acer beTouch E210. Unfortunately, despite costing 33 percent more, the Acer beTouch E210 fails to stand up to the Motorola Fire. If you have to find true competitors for the Motorola Fire, one has to go all the way up to the Rs 15,000 price-band. In many ways, the Motorola Fire is like the new Blackberry Bold 9900 -- it's got the same display size, very similar form-factor and looks (including the keypad), but falls short in raw power. But while the Bold 9900 is priced at Rs 32,000 ($700), the Motorola Fire is priced at Rs 9,000 ($200).
