Motorola Fire XT Gets Android 2.3.5 Update


Bangalore: Motorola’s Fire XT Android smartphone is getting the updation of Android 2.3.5 in India. This update is available via Motorola software tool in the Motorola India website.

Motorola has not officially specified the improvements in this new updation, but users who have updated their Fire XT said that Android 2.3.5 will improve the battery life, Gmail application, software enhancement for the camera and shadow animation for list scrolling.

Motorola XT is a budget friendly android smartphone, priced at 8999. The device currently runs on Android 2.3.4 (now updating with Android 2.3.5) powered by Qualcomm 800 MHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and sports 3.5 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 320x480 pixels of resolution, multi-touch feature and has a Moto Switch user interface.

The device comes with 5 MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a VGA front facing camera for video calls and chats. Other features includes 32 GB of expandable memory via microSD card, GPRS, Wi-Fi, 3G, accelerometer, proximity, compass and geo tagging.

Recently Motorola Droid Razr also received Android 2.3.5 update. By this Motorola is trying to get a good hold over the smartphone market in India by making the customers happy and updated.
