Microsoft Launches All New Next Gen Gadgets




BANGALORE: Couple of years ago when Microsoft introduced Surface Pro tablet, they said it is the replacement to the laptop. But in the recent event held by firm, alters their view by unveiling the Surface Book, reports TheHindu.

The Surface Book starts at $1,499 while the latest Surface Pro 4 tablet costs at $899. The Surface Book is considered to be a laptop but it has detachable screen and it is as effective as a tablet.

The Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 will be available in the market by the end of October 2015. The Surface Pro 4 tablet houses powerful chipset in a thin case than its predecessor yet it sports a larger screen at 12.3-inches.

The novel Microsoft laptop and tablet are the first devices in the market to roll out with Windows 10 pre installed. However, the old Microsoft devices will get free Windows 10 upgrade; therefore the latest Windows 10 will also get an additional boost from the Surface laptop and tablet.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said, “To move people from needing Windows to choosing Windows to loving Windows,” after the launch event of held at New York.

Much before Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book was announced, Microsoft unveiled two new flagship Smartphones and a fitness tracker. The Lumia 950 and 950 XL flagship phones will turn into a Windows 10 PC when it is connected to a regular monitor, keyboard and mouse.

The Lumia 950 and 950 XL are relying on water cooling technology to keep the phones running for a long time usage. The two new Smartphones support USB Type-C port as well as the quick charging facility.

The phones’ pricing starts at $549 and will be shipped from early November. The new Microsoft Band now collaborated with company’s Cortana – virtual assistant to achieve instant results. The Microsoft Band will come with a price tag of $249 and will hit stores from October 30.

At the event, Microsoft also showcased the Xbox One games and console bundles to the audience. The new HoloLens; virtual-reality device, that renders “mixed reality” game consisting of animation with real-world objects. The new Xbox One prototype will be made available to all the developers from early next year for $3,000.
