Micromax Launches A72 Canvas Viva, The Cheapest In Canvas Series

Bangalore: Micromax launched its A72 Canvas Viva following the last week launch of Ninja A91, another budget Smartphone. The new 5 inch display Smartphone is now available on online shopping outlets for 6999.

Though the phone comes with an affordable price, there are some drawbacks to watch out. The device is packed with a 1 GHz single core processor and a 256 MB of RAM, quite suited for multitasking purposes. But it comes with Android 2.3 Ginger Bread OS, proving to be old fashioned in this age of Jelly Bean. Users can avail expandable memory up to 32GB through microSD card and 110MB of flash memory which falls short though.

The large screen display may add to more expectations, but it only supports a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.  There is a 3 megapixel rear camera and VGA camera on the front side. The integrated 2000 mAh battery promises to provide 7 hours of talktime and 280 hours standby time.

Connectivity features of the phone include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3 and mobile hotspot meant for creating a personal network. The phone does not support 3G which is again another let down.

Though Micromax A72 Canvas Viva does not come that well equipped, it stands out to be the cheapest in the series.
