Mercury's mTab2: One More Affordable Tablet in India


Bangalore: Mercury has launched the successor of Mercury mTab, named as mTab 2 in India for 11999. This new Mercury mTab 2 has a 7 inch TFT capacitive display with multi-touch feature. It is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor, 512 MB of RAM and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The mTab 2 offers 8 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD cards. It also features a VGA front facing camera for video calls and chats, built in speaker and mic, G-sensor screen rotation for 3D G-games and comes with a long battery life which provides up to 8 hours of usage. For connectivity it has USB port, HDMI port, Wi-Fi connectivity and supports USB-3G dongles.

Indian market is flooding with cheaper Android tablets like Aakash, Reliance 3G Tab, iBall Slide, Mercury mTab, Beetel's Magiq and now the new mTab 2 is added to this list.
