Meet Buddy: A Smart Trackable Collar for Your Dogs

BANGALORE: With the advent of newer and smarter technologies, not just humans but their pooches deserve smart gadgets. Squeaker, a pet products company from Melbourne, Australia, came out with something similar- a dog collar that is carved out of smart technology that can help you track your pet and its activities using WiFi and GPS, reports NDTV.

The gadget is named Buddy. With the invention of this gadget pet owners wouldn’t need to worry anymore about losing their pet. Using Buddy compatible app you can limit your pet to a Geofence area which on being crossed, Buddy would send a notification to you.

The gadget comes along with a GPS to track the location of the pet along with features like Bluetooth connectivity, temperature sensor, a rechargeable battery, in-built OLED display and accelerometer. The LED lights make the dog more visible at night.

Apple Watch owners can access buddy directly through Apple's Health app. The dog collar would could around $180 and would hit the market shelves soon in three sizes- small, medium and large.

 This waterproof gadget has been devised by the company with a view to bring smarter protection to the pets. The company is presently crowdfunded on KickStarter.
