Looking at them makes one go - "Because we're weird and we love it"

BENGALURU: There used to be a time when a machine, which by itself, could add two numbers was considered to be an innovation. But these days, when you see something weird or extravagant like a person wearing an artificial tail that can actually mimic that of a dog or a cat, you know how far technology has come. News18 has compiled a set of strange gadgets that were unveiled at CES 2016.

It’s a phone! It’s a cigarette! No! It’s Jupiter IO 3!

Let’s travel back in time, say a hundred years. One Mr. Graham Bell decided he didn’t want to meet his wife’s boring relatives very often. So he built her the telephone and told her no more visits. Fast track a few years and radio waves were discovered and put the idea of wireless communication into the head of nerds. Fast track a few more years and we ended up with the cellular phone or mobile phone, whatever you want to call it. But when are we humans ever satisfied? And so capacitive touches came along with in-built cameras and now we have ended up with smart-phones which is nothing less than  a mini computer. Not happy still with all these advancements and upgrades to the smart-phone, US based mobile firm Vaporcade has come up with a smokable phone. Sounds weird right? Well, the phone, called Jupiter IO 3, has a battery-powered vape and a button to regulate the heat and get a stronger pull. It has an opening on the top where one could attach a flavoured liquid cartridge and a mouthpiece to that and smoke right from the device.
