Lenovo launches 'Moon' and 'Wind' from S10-3s Netbook

Bangalore: Lenovo has introduced two new netbooks from its S10-3s series called the 'Moon' and the 'Wind'. The Moon and the Wind are an upgrade from the S10-3 netbook. The designs on the netbooks give them a different look. The Moon is a purple colored model with celestial designs on it while the Wind is a brighter pink colored model featuring floral design. According to Lenovo, "The Wind model captivates you with an enticing floral pattern and soft hues that highlight the warmth of the day. On the other hand, the Moon model soothes your senses with its reassuring purple color and celestial design to resonate the mystic radiance of the night." The Moon and Wind weigh 1.1 kgs and are about one inch thick. The Quick Start allows access to frequently used applications within 10 seconds of switching on of the netbooks. Both the netbooks come with Intel Atom CPU with DDR3 RAM and a full size keyboard. The S10-3s netbooks are lighter and slimmer compared to the S10-3 series of netbooks. The new range of netbooks support 3G, Bluetooth, 5 in 1 card reader, Wi-Fi and LAN. The veriface face recognition software comes preloaded and makes use of the built-in webcam to detect faces automatically while logging in. Antivirus, DirectShare (syncing data between PCs) and data recovery are some of the other spftwares included in the netbooks. Dell also offers netbooks with the similar features in its Inspiron Mini 10. However, what sets the Lenovo netbook apart are the unique designs on them. The Moon is priced at 18,401 while the price of the Wind is 19,625.
