Lenovo Unveils Vibe X3 With A 21 Mega Pixel Camera

BANGALORE: Earlier this week, Lenovo launched the Vibe X3 Smartphone at an event in China. The firm also unveiled two variants of Vibe X3 with a price tag of CNY 2,499 (approximately 26,000) for the 32GB variant and CNY 1,889 (approximately 19,500) for the 'Youth' variant. The high-end variant with 64GB storage will come with a price tag of CNY 2,999 (approximately 31,000), reports NDTV.

All the variants of Vibe X3 are available for pre-order now in China. But, Lenovo hasn’t revealed their plans of launching the phones outside China and the version of Android that runs on the new phones.

The specifications of both standard Vibe X3 and Vibe X3 (Youth) are identical with design and the 5.5-inch HD screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. The fingerprint sensor also can be seen in the both devices and Lenovo goes the Nexus way by placing the fingerprint sensor right below the primary camera on the rear.

The new phones sport hybrid dual-SIM slots and both the slots will support 4G LTE connectivity. The only difference lies in the processors, as the standard Vibe X3 is powered by a Snapdragon 808 coupled with 3GB of RAM, whereas the Vibe X3 (Youth) packs in a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek processor paired with 2GB of RAM.

The standard Vibe X3 is offered with 32GB and 64GB of internal memory. On the other hand, the Youth variant comes with only 16GB internal storage. All the variants of Vibe X3 have the hybrid microSD card slot that can be expanded up to 128GB.

The handset features a 21MP primary camera with Sony IMX230 sensor and it can record 4K video and an 8MP front-facing camera completes the camera package of this variant. The Vibe X3 (Youth) sports a 13MP shooter and a 5MP front-facing snapper. The standard Vibe X3 variant houses a large 3,600mAh battery while the Youth variant holds a slightly smaller 3,400mAh battery.
