Lenovo Unveils A7000, First Phone To Feature Dolby Atmos


BANGALORE: Lenovo has added a new collection to it range of Smartphones called the A7000. The device that first showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona unveiled itself as the first Smartphone to sport the Dolby ATMOS surround sound feature,reports Tech2

Unlike the VIBE Shot that is a visuals device, the latest mid range device is all about sound, thereby having the headphones plugged in can give emphasis to sounds of people, places and other things.

"Our latest Lenovo Smartphones demonstrate the tremendous opportunity for innovation both within the devices themselves and with the accessories that provide important functionality for our users," said Shao Tao, Vice President, Mobile Business Group, Lenovo.

In terms of the specs, A7000 sports a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display that is 7.9mm thick and weighs 140gm. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. On the camera front, the device features an 8-megapixel autofocus camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

For storage capacity, the devices come with an 8GB internal storage with a 2GB memory. It features the same duel /micro SIM, a micro SD card slot that holds up to 32GB and holds a 2900mAh replaceable battery.

 Other notable features of the A7000 is said to run the latest version of Google's Android operating system Lollipop. In terms of connectivity, the devices comes with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and Cat 4 4G LTE. lenovo’s  A7000 is likely to launch later this month.
