Leaked Images Confirm 20 MP Camera In Sony Honami


Bangalore: The most awaited Smartphone of the year, Honami, by the Japanese manufacturer Sony is again in headlines as recent images captured with its alleged 20 MP camera has gone viral, confirming the existence of device.

According to the EXIF data, the image is not tampered and the picture states that it was apparently clicked using the C6902 which is the code name for Sony Honami. The camera used was made by Sony with a 20.65MP sensor and an f/2.0 aperture.

The Sony Xperia Honami is rumored to carry a 5-inch Full HD Triluminos display with the X-reality engine. The Smartphone has a 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM. The key selling point is its 20.7 megapixel camera and BIONZ image processor. The internal memory of 16GB can be expanded via the microSD card slot.

The Honami is also said to be IP57 certified, which means it will be dust-protected and will have the ability to withstand water for about 30 minutes. The connectivity options include the latest Android 4.2, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. Sony is expected to introduce this model on September 4th in Berlin. The date clashes with Samsung, as they are rumored to unveil the Samsung Galaxy Note III.
