Latest, More Powerful MacBook Enters India


BENGALURU: Apple launched the latest version of the MacBook in India, to attract the hearts of many. Apple’s Mac has been serving its users since decades, with continuous improvement and innovation starting from Mac mini to the latest MacBook.   

The new MacBook is just 13.1mm in thickness as compared to the previous ‘MacBook Pro’, which is 18mm thick. The technical specifications of these 2 MacBooks are almost same—latest processors, powerful graphics, faster flash storage, longer battery life.

With 12 inch display the MacBook also features LED backlight, IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology and comes in various colors— Rose gold, space gray, gold, and silver. The display resolution of the screen is 2304 X 1440 pixels with an aspect ratio of 16:10 running on ‘OS X El Capitan’ Operating System. The whole system comes under two variants: the first is 1.1GHz dual-core Intel Core m3 processor with 8GB of internal memory and 256GB of flash storage; the second variant is 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core m5 processor consisting of 8GB onboard memory but has comparatively higher flash storage of 512GB. The first variant is priced at Rs 106900, whereas the second variant is priced at Rs 129900.

The graphics support to the resolution is powered by Intel HD Graphics 515 at 30Hz on external display providing the MacBook with 25 percent faster graphics performance. The MacBook has USB-C port support for charging. USB 3.1 Gen 1 enables speeds upto 5 Gbps during data transfer and Native DisplayPort 1.2 video output. In spite of all these fully loaded features, MacBook still weighs 920grams. It is equipped with a 41.4-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery which provides it with 10 hours of battery life and a standby time of 30 days.
