LG Unveils G2, The Most Powerful Smartphone Ever

Bangalore: LG has always been striving hard to find a foothold in the ongoing Smartphone battle. With the launch of G2, the highly anticipated Smartphone from the South Korean tech giant loaded with Snapdragon 800 processor, the company is determined to take on the flagships of its counterparts including Samsung, Sony and HTC. According to Dr. Jong-seok Park, LG's president and CEO who spoke at the launch of G2, "Technology without empathy can no longer be considered innovation."

The model is packed with a quad-core 2.26GHz processor and 2GB RAM. It has a rear camera of 13 Megapixel with optical image stabilization technology and an edge to edge screen that measures 5.2 inch. To enhance the music and video experience the model features a 24-bit/192kHz sound. The physical buttons have been shifted to the backside, a change from the traditional design pattern. The gadget runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The makers designed the model with a lot of user friendly features like LG’s G2 sensing called ‘Answer Me’ which automatically answers the call when moved towards your ear even without pressing a button. The plug and pop feature displays whether you’ve plugged a device into the right jack and displays the icons for the most commonly used apps. The text link creates a calendar event from a simple text message if it contains information such as location or time. All your electronic gadgets can be controlled with the quick remote feature that operates using infrared port. The slide functionality helps to switch between apps with some simple gestures and swipes. LG G2 also spots a security feature, ‘Guest mode’ that encapsulates your confidential data when the device is with a second user. The model will be available across the 130 wireless carriers worldwide in a couple of weeks including AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile.
