LG Released Optimus 3D Max Smartphone


Bangalore:  LG Optimus 3D Max was first showcased at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), this next-generation glasses-free 3D smartphone grabbed lots of attention at the event for its 3D entertainment features with its improved chipset which made the device slimmer and lighter from its predecessor Optimus 3D. The company has now started the shipment of this smartphone, starting from the European market.

LG Optimus 3D Max is powered by dual-core 1.2Ghz OMAP4430 processor and runs on Android 2.3, Gingerbread. It sports a 4.3-inch screen with a WVGA resolution and Gorilla Glass 2, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, two 5 MP cameras at the back, VGA front-facing camera, a 1,520mAh battery and supports HSPA, HDMI, DNLA and NFC for connectivity. The phone is just 9.6mm thick and weighs only 148 grams.

The Optimus 3D Max has a 3D converter which converts 2D content like Google Maps and other mapping apps to 3D. The phone also comes with a 3D video editor which lets the user to edit 3D video; a 3D hot key on the side of the phone makes the user to snap between 2D and 3D viewing.

The price detail of this device is not disclosed by the company, in the European market it is expected to be around EUR 500 (34,000). There is no information about its availability in India.
